To remove your Zywie Patch, follow these steps:
1. Use the Adhesive Removal Pad provided in your kit. Place the pad at the edge of the adhesive, gently pulling it while applying the pad along the adhesive line. This will help release the patch without irritation.
2. After removal, use the pad to wipe your skin and clean any remaining adhesive residue.
For ZywieZ3: Unsnap the Zywie sensor from the adhesive and discard the adhesive. Be sure to only discard the adhesive and keep the Zywie Z3 sensor.
For ZywieNano: Simply peel the rubber sensor from the adhesive using the red tab. Be sure to only discard the adhesive and keep the ZywieNano sensor.
After completing the instructions on how to remove your Zywie patch, use the following instructions for charging your sensor:
For ZywieZ3: Place the Zywie Z3 sensor in the white charging dock found inside of your kit. The sensor snaps into the charging dock by lining up the 4 snaps and clicking it into place. Once the sensor is snapped into the charging dock, plug the dock into a wall outlet. The sensor will indicate charging with a red light. Once the light on the sensor turns green or the phone indicates the sensor is over 95% charge, remove the sensor from the charging dock by pressing in the circular opening on the back. You can now snap the sensor into a new adhesive and reapply the patch to your chest. Your study will continue automatically.
For ZywieNano: Clean the back of the sensor with the alcohol wipes provided inside of the kit. Place the rubber sensor inside of the white charging case. Ensure the copper pins inside of the case align with the two dots on the sensors. Close the case and plug it into a wall outlet. A white light means that it is charging. Charge your sensor until the phone shows that the sensor battery is above 90% or the light on the case is green. Proceed with placing the sensor back on your body. Your study will continue automatically.
For ZywieZ3: Start by peeling back tab one (1) on the adhesive from your kit. Align the four snaps on the sensor with the snaps on the adhesive, using the grey arrows as a guide. Press down to secure it, forming the Z3 patch. Ensure your skin is clean, dry, and hair-free. Use a 70 percent or higher alcohol swab to clean the left, upper middle chest area, shaving if needed. Allow it to dry completely. Peel back tab two (2) and position the patch on your chest, with the Zywie word upright. The patch should be two to three finger-widths below your collarbone with the edge of the patch starting at the centerline of your chest (sternum). It should then be applied to your left pectoral. Please use the diagram (or click here) inside your Z3 kit to mimic the proper alignment.
For ZywieNano: Grab an adhesive from the white pouch inside the kit. Peel tab labeled “1”. Take the rubber sensor and line up the three circles on the exposed adhesive surface.
Tip: Lay the sensor on a flat surface, rubber side down. Look through the three holes to better align the circles on the adhesive.
Once done, peel tab labeled “2”. Stick the adhesive to your left, upper-middle chest at an inclined angle. The hearts on the sensor should be pointing down. Please clean your skin and shave prior to adhering the sensor to your body.
If your Zywie patch falls off, that’s okay! Simply follow the instructions provided for reapplying your patch and your study will resume automatically once the patch is reapplied.
